About Me

Greetings! My name is Olivia Middleton and I’m a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor (A/OGA). Catering to bright students who struggle with reading and writing, I believe that all children are hard-wired for learning, but roadblocks sometimes steal their joy. My job is to help my students rediscover a joy for learning by focusing on their successes and giving them the power to guide their own learning journey.

I understand the critical balance between academic goals and student engagement. I devise customized, OG programming that allows for student choice; I adjust my pace and activities according to each student’s challenges, strengths, and interests; and I drive towards mastery over the long-run. My approach ensures that my students are just as excited to attend their 40th session as they are their first.

With degrees from Middlebury College and The College of New Jersey (MEd), I bring a wealth of experience from my teaching roles at St. Paul’s School in Vina del Mar, Chile, and Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ. I offer online and in-person tutoring.
